Park & Ride Car Parking, including Blue Badge parking details

Because the Christmas Market takes place in the historic uphill area of Lincoln, it does mean that there is minimal on-street parking for the many thousands of visitors. In addition the City of Lincoln Council enforces a strict residents only parking system in a lot of the Market and surrounding areas to ensure the parking spaces for those living all year in this area.

Because of this we recommend that you use the extensive Park and Ride operation that is set up exclusively for the Event. The Car Park is on the Lincolnshire Showground site (approx. 3 miles away on the north side of the Market area) and has parking spaces for 10000 cars. There is then an efficient Bus transit operation to get you quickly and safely to within 300 yards of the actual Market itself.

Parking for Blue Badge holders will be created in the existing Park & Ride at Lincolnshire Showground. Upon entering the Car Park at Gate 2, you should follow the specific signage which will guide you to a separate Parking area. This area will also be specifically manned by our staff who will assist and ensure your speedy transfer to the Market site.

The cost of the Park & Ride service is £12 per car, regardless of the number of people in your vehicle. There is no facility for payment by Credit or Debit cards at this years Market.
